– Your Chair will be Lutfie Gjurra –
Lutfie Gjurra is a junior from Thessaloniki, Greece. She is currently majoring in International Studies and double minoring in German and Theatre. She has been participating in MUN conferences since she was a freshman in high school, but this is her first experience as a head chair of a committee. SOCHUM is her favorite General Assembly subcommittee and she aspires to fulfil its future resolutions while working with UN agencies, which defend and promote human rights. She can speak three additional languages apart from English (Albanian, Greek, and German) and she is targeting a career in international diplomatic affairs.
– Your Co-Chair is Sage Martin –
Sage Martin is a Rhodes College first-year from San Antonio, Texas. She is currently planning on double majoring in International Studies and Business. She has been involved in Model UN conferences since her freshman year in high school, and has assumed the roles of Delegate, Co-Chair, and Co-Chair at Large in various high school conferences. Sage is incredibly excited to hear some of the ideas and resolutions proposed by the SOCHUM committee. She feels that continuing to hear various global perspectives about relevant social and political issues will help her as she pursues International Studies at Rhodes College.
